The clinic is allied with the Queen’s University Department of Ophthalmology.  All ophthalmologists are Queen’s faculty, and are attending staff in good standing with the Kingston Health Sciences Centre.

Dr Rachel curtis, MD FRCSC

Is an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University. She graduated from the Queen’s Ophthalmology residency program in 2022. Dr. Curtis is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with an interest in ocular oncology and ocular surface tumor management. She completed a focused fellowship in ocular oncology at the University of Calgary from 2022-2023, followed by an additional training experience at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. Her academic focus is on medical education research and teaching, and she holds the position of department CBME Faculty Lead.

Dr. Pear Ferreira MD, MPH, PhD

Is an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University. Dr Ferreira joins our department having been an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, where she served as Vice-Chair of Ophthalmology Care Services, as well as occupying leadership roles in ophthalmic and vitreoretinal research.
